PEACH VALLEY: T. Glenn Easler, 95, owner of T. Glenn Easler Grading, left us on December 28, 2016. He was the most well-respected man in Cherokee Springs.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy the day Pearl Harbor was bombed and served as Seaman 1st Class on the Destroyer, the USS Boyle. He traveled the world yet said, "There was no place like sitting under the pecan tree in the back yard."

A hard worker all his life, he was the happiest with his men on the job whistling and pointing. He had a great sense of humor, was a mentor to his grandsons, and reluctantly retired at the age of 86.

The last of Ina Arthur Easler’s 10 children, he was also predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Floree, and twin daughter, Dona Sue.

He is leaving behind daughters, Judy, Dana, and Emily, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Graveside services with military honors will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Sunset Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Animal Allies Clinic, 1097 Asheville Hwy., Spartanburg, SC, 29303, or to Mobile Meals, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC, 29304.

A special thanks to the girls that took care of Daddy at White Oak Manor.
