Glendale – Steven Michael Palmer, 57, of Glendale died Monday, July 25, 2016 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Palmer was the son of Lois Hardin Palmer and the late Harry L. Palmer, Sr.  He was married to Cathy Allen.

          Mr. Palmer worked at American Fast Print where he was a lithographer, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division.  He loved his family dearly, loved fishing and gardening, and was described by his family as a simple man with a big heart.

          In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Shelly Jones, her husband, Jeff, and grandson, Colt, of Cowpens; five brothers, Harry L. Palmer, Jr. (Gina) of California, Ricky G. Palmer (Sandy) of Nevada, Brian K. Palmer of California, Vaughn A. Palmer of California, and Terry L. Palmer of Illinois; four step-children, Cassidy Allen, Austin Allen, Ashley Allen, and Amber Eplee (Steven); and six step-grandchildren, Madisyn, Samuel, Mason, Noah, Izibel, and Corbin.  He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Ann Ramirez, and nephew, Andrew Lawrence Palmer.

          Visitation will be 1:00-2:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Bobo Funeral Chapel.  Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Glendale Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Daniel Blackwell and Rev. Daniel Eplee.
