GLENDALE, SC: Robert “Bobby” Julian Key, 69, died Thursday, June 2, 2016. He was the husband of Deborah Collins Key and a son of the late Jackson Theodore Key and Marguerite Prince Key.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Julie K. Smith (Brian) of Campobello; two grandsons, Matthew and Bryson Smith; a brother, Richard Key (Debra) of Spartanburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Robert “Rob” Julian Key, II.
Bobby was a graduate of Wofford College, was employed by Milliken, and retired from Dave Edwards Toyota, member of Glendale Baptist Church, Glendale Masonic Lodge, and played the mandolin in the Band of Brothers Gospel Group .
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Glendale Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Daniel Blackwell and Dr. Benjamin Littlejohn. The family will receive friends after the service.
