Missouria Foster

WALHALLA, SC:  Missouria M. Foster, 100, died June 17, 2016, at the home of her niece, Kathy Williams and husband, Donald.   Born August 10, 1915, in Walhalla, she was a daughter of the late John and Maggie Nix Stephens.  She was the last surviving child of nine children.  She was of the Church of God faith and retired as a battery filler in the textile industry.

She is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and her caregiver for four and a half years, Libby Sims, who became very close to her; and her special pet, Hannah.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five sisters, Idelle Arrowood, Nina Martin, Annie Mae Smith, Pearl Bishop, and Josephine Sawyer; and three brothers, Demas, Elford, and Jesse Stephens.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
