Norman Pye

SPARTANBURG, SC:  Norman Dorsey Pye, 80, husband of Blanche Fletcher Pye, died September 22, 2016, at Mary Black Hospital.   He was the son of the late Alvin Boyce Pye and Linnie Woodsby Pye.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Doug Pye, of the home, and a brother, James Pye and wife, Brenda.  He was predeceased by six brothers.

Mr. Pye was a member of Davis Memorial Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and retired from maintenance at Converse College.  He was a hard worker with great mechanical skills, and a caring, loving, and devoted family man and provider.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, at Bobo Funeral Chapel.  Services will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, September 25, at Bobo Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Hall and Rev. Carlton Hames officiating.  Burial with military honors will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
