Spartanburg – Miriam Jean Deal Brown, 59, formerly of Spartanburg, died Monday, October 24, 2016, at MUSC, Charleston, SC.  Mrs. Brown was formerly married to Gordon Christopher Brown with whom she remained close friends, and she was the daughter of the late James Anderson Deal and Betty Jean Williams Deal.

            Mrs. Brown was a Licensed Practical Nurse.  She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church on Bryant Road and a former member of Park Hills Baptist Church.  Her family owned Deal’s Market.

            Survivors include three sons, Charles Deal Brown and his wife Kelly Thornburg Brown of Mayo, SC, Christopher Deal Brown and his wife Emily Wagoner Brown of Boiling Springs, and Jeremy Deal Brown of Charleston, SC;  a brother, Jimmy E. Deal and his wife Carol Gene of Campobello, SC; a sister, Carmen Deedie Deal of Murrells Inlet, SC; and four grandchildren.

            Visitation will be 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2016 at Bobo Funeral Chapel followed by a committal service in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens officiated by Rev. Hub Blankenship.
