Johnny Ray Lawing

SPARTANBURG, SC:  Johnny Ray Lawing, 63, of Cowpens Pacolet Road died April 9, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center.  He was the son of John William Lawing and wife, Betty H. Lawing, and the late Ellen Arrowwood Lawing Linder.

Johnny is additionally survived by a son, J.R. Lawing of Chattanooga, TN; two brothers, Ronnie Joe Lawing and wife, Mary of Spartanburg and William Darrell Lawing of Lyman; two sisters, Judy L. Glass of Savannah, GA and Tammy Lawing of Una; two half-sister and two half-brothers.  He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Lawing and a sister, Libby L. Fowler.

He was formerly employed by Beverage Air and subsequently by Clarkson Brothers in machine installation.  He was a life resident of Spartanburg County, and in early years attended Greenpoint Baptist Church, Boiling Springs.
