James “Buck” Seay

SPARTANBURG, SC:  James “Buck” Raymond Seay, 80, husband of Edwina “Winkie” Seay, died Saturday, April 2, 2016.   Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of the late William R. and Carrie Harmon Seay. 

Mr. Seay was an active member of Cannon’s Camp Ground United Methodist Church where he served as an usher for many years.  He was an electrician and co-owner of Lowe Electric and a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He liked old cars, NASCAR racing, and fishing.  He was a member of the Peach Blossom Car Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jimmy Seay (Tina); a daughter, Gina S. Bailey (David); grandchildren, Colby Seay and Georgia Seay; a sister, Katherine Fletcher; and his beloved canine, Bonnie.  He was predeceased by two brothers, William and Ed Seay.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, at Cannon’s Camp Ground UMC officiated by Rev. Mac Kinnett followed by a celebration of life reception in the Family Life Center at the church.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Rd, Spartanburg, SC, 29303 or Cannon’s Camp Ground UMC, 3450 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC, 29307.
