Woodrow "Buddy" David Ridings, Sr.

Woodrow "Buddy" David Ridings, Sr., 89, of Spartanburg passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024. A native of Spartanburg, he was the husband of Helen Simmons Ridings and son of the late Woodrow and Marie Teseniar Ridings. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, a former District Manager for Spartanburg Herald Journal, and served in the US Army.

He is survived by one son, Woodrow David (Kim) Ridings Jr.; two daughters, Amy (Boyce) Ridings Blackwood, Terri (John) Ridings Napoli; two sisters, Claudette McKinney, Beverly (Henry) Cooke; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one brother, William Terrel "Butch" Ridings, a sister,” Barbara “Bobbi” Powell and a daughter, Elizabeth Ridings.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Bobo Funeral Chapel with a funeral service immediately following at 2:00 PM conducted by Pastor Michael Evans. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
