William Grady Swofford, Sr

William Grady Swofford

William (Billy) Grady Swofford of Cowpens SC went home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 11 2025. He was born on February 1, 1941 to Henry Grady and Mary Ruth Swofford. Leaving to cherish his memory is his wife, Barbara Swofford. 

    In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Billy Swofford (Shawn) and grandchildren Kristina (Andy) Greene, Grady Swofford and Josh Swofford. He was also blessed to have loved 7 great-grandchildren: Hannah, Will, Paisley, Bryce, Jude, Leo and Paxton. He was unfortunately preceded in death by a son Joel Monroe Swofford. 

  Billy was a retired Fireman from Spartanburg City Fire Department and a devoted member of Mt Olive Baptist Church. He lived a wonderful life loving the Lord and his family.
