Spartanburg, SC:  Willard Dean Emory, 78, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022. Born June 30, 1943 he was the son of the late Claude Mack, Sr. and Ida Mae Mahaffey Emory. He was the husband of the late Norma Emory.

He is survived by a daughter Cynthia Roper (Terry Rogers); a step-son Stevie Miller (Paula); grandchildren Jenifer Roper, Josh Gosnell, Travis Fleming, Dylan Miller, Lucas Miller and Jordan Miller; four great grandchildren; his caregiver and niece Sandra Dyer; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Wanda Kaye Pye; a grandson Jason Roper; brothers Boyce Lee Emory, J.C. Emory, Claude Mack Emory, Jr., Winford Emory; sisters Margaret O’Shields, Merle Foster, Shirley Lockhart and Maxine Strickland.

A graveside service will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Springhill Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Landon Rhoden.
