Walter C. Ratliff

Walter C. Ratliff, 99, passed away on January 7, 2025. He was the husband of Anne Ratliff and the son of the late G.R. and Blanche Ratliff.

Walter was a veteran in the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. He and his wife, Anne, were married for 76 years. Walter was a graduate of Wofford College and later, worked as a coal broker. He was a charter member of St. Paul Methodist Church.

He is survived by his sons, Rocky Ratliff Jr. (Marielon); and John Davis Ratliff Sr. (Trish) and his daughter, Beth Ratliff Fenner (Ron); six grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Walter is predeceased by his brother, Bill Ratliff; and his sisters, Lola Mae Zimmerman, Gay McBride, June Phillips and Agnus Barnette.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bobo Funeral Chapel.
