Velma Adair West

Velma Adair West, 91, of Spartanburg passed away Friday, December 29, 2023. Born in Rutherford County, NC, she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen Epps Adair and was the wife of the late Boyd William West. She worked in the textile industry and was of the Baptist faith.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Faye West (Steve) Kellett and Louise Adair; one son, David West; eight grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joann West Cobb; one son, Roger Dale West; three sisters, and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 123 W. Antrim Dr., Greenville, SC 29607.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Bobo Funeral Chapel from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The memorial service will follow at Bobo Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM. Rev. Dr. George Naff Gray, Jr.  will be conducting the service.
