Thomas Eugene Walker

Thomas Walker of Cowpens, SC, entered his Heavenly Home on Saturday, August 27, 2022. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 50 years, Rhonda Peterson Walker.

He is the son of the late Frank and Elsie Suddeth Walker, Sr., of Lynn, NC and the son-in-law of the late Gordon Lee and Avonell Stepp Peterson of Cowpens, SC.

He retired from Michelin of Spartanburg after 30 plus years as a Machine Operator/Leadhand. Following his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, making furniture, and jewelry. He was a master carpenter including finishing carpentry work, and he completely renovated their home.

Thomas is survived by brothers, Frank Walker, Jr. (Ruby) of SC; and Terry Walker (Carol) of Landrum; and sister, Sueann McClure (Hov) of Landrum. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Ronnie Peterson and Lee Peterson, both of Cowpens; Hobert Peterson (Sue) of Inman; and Carl Peterson (Dot) of Gaffney; and sisters-in-law Susie Peterson Headman (Rod) of Spartanburg; and Linda Peterson Jewel of Cowpens. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews that he held dear to his heart.

Thomas was predeceased by his most beloved and cherished son, Brenton Tyler Walker of Greeneville, TN; a brother, Carl Walker of Mills Spring, NC; a sister, Kathy Mae Walker, of Lynn, NC; a nephew, Chaunce Lee Edwards; and a niece, Shannon Richelle Headman, both of Cowpens.
