Theresa Nolen Griffin Bowyer

Theresa Nolen Griffin Bowyer, 79, passed away Sunday April 20, 2025. She was the daughter of the late William and Leona Groce Nolen, and she was the wife of the late James Darryl Griffin and the late Milford Bruce Bowyer, Jr.

Theresa was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her entire family. If you ever visited Mary Black Hospital you would have seen her smiling face at the front desk where she was the switchboard operator for 30 plus years until her retirement. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is survived by her daughters April Michaud (Gary) and Pamela Whisonant (Ricky); grandchildren Brett Michaud (Jennie), Courtney Griffin, Jonathan Perez, Alex Perez, Wade Whisonant, D’Anthony Charles, and Hailey Yeary; great grandchildren Brooks Michaud and Sawyer Michaud; and sister Sue Ellen Brown. She was predeceased by a sister Margie Fleming.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11:00am – 12:00pm at Bobo Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm officiated by Rev. Jack Pattillo. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
