Steven King Obituary

Steven R. King, 70, went home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2025. He was the husband of Reba Wofford King and the son of the late Ira P. King and Carrie M. King.

A devoted family man, Steven is survived by his wife of 45 years, Reba Wofford King; his only daughter, Stephanie King MacLeod and husband Shawn, whom he loved like a son; his sister, Melinda Osburn (John); his beloved dog, Kodi Blue King; and his grand-dogs, Sherman Tank MacLeod and Kaiya Valentine MacLeod.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Gary D. King.

Steven dedicated over 40 years in nuclear service, traveling across the United States and the world. He formed friendships with colleagues who became like a second family to him. He was an adventurous spirit who loved motorcycles, boating, laughing with friends and family and traveling to destinations such as Taiwan, England and many other places. Steven had many talents including, but not limited to, playing the piano by ear and playing the guitar. He was a longtime member of the Packers Boating Club for 25 years and Lake Thurmand was a happy place for him and his family.

Steven was a man of deep faith, a faithful member of Inman Masonic Lodge #201 and a devoted servant of God. He was uncommonly generous and kind, always willing to help family, friends and anyone in need, with no expectation of being repaid. He had a lifelong love for dogs and all animals.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Bobo Funeral Chapel, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at Bobo Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM. Pastor Jack Pattillo II. will be conducting the service. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Steven’s legacy of love, laughter, singing and devotion will be remembered by all who knew him.
