Sharon Gwyn Stevens

Sharon Gwyn Stevens, 75, passed away on October 23, 2023 in Spartanburg, SC. She was the wife of Larry Stevens and the daughter of the late George and Gwyndoline Faulknier.   

Sharon is survived by sons, David Stevens (Amy), and Robert Stevens (Jessie); a daughter, Debra Stevens; a brother, Warren Faulknier (Patricia); a twin sister, Cheryl Talbott; and grandchildren, Emily, David, Georgia Kate, and Maggie. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Faulknier, and her granddaughter, Brittany Stevens. 

Sharon was born and raised in Nitro, WV, then taught elementary school for 35 years in Parkersburg, WV, and was a passionate champion of literacy.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, vacationing at the beach or in the mountains at the family farm, and her grandchildren gave her life. She had an irresistible smile, a wonderful laugh, and a delightful sense of humor. Sharon will be deeply missed by many. 

A private family memorial service will be held at her home on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023.
