Robert Wayne McBee

Robert Wayne McBee, 76, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 17, 2025. Born August 12, 1948 he was the son of the late Robert L. and Eula Lee McBee.

Wayne enlisted in the US Army February 27, 1969 and received an honorable discharge on July 1, 1972. He worked for Dunagin Construction for 25 years until his retirement.

He is survived by his companion of over 20 years Virginia Owens; a granddaughter Hannah Lindsey, the apple of his eye; two daughters Misty McBee Smalls; a son Jason McBee; stepchildren Janice Spencer (Rick), Wendy Owens (Man Edwards), and Mark; extended family Lee Hames (Jennie), Bobby Hames (Patty), Jerold Hames, Christine Chapman, Alice Tyler, Deborah Lamb (Bill), and Linda Fleming (Cedric); and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Charles McBee and George McBee; a sister Donnia June McBee Smith; and his loving pet Sam.

He was love. by all and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
