Robert Merenda
SPARTANBUG, SC: Robert Merenda, 72, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022. Born in Hazleton, PA, he was the son of Joseph and Elsie (Protasow) Merenda. He lived in McAdoo, Haddock and Ringtown, PA until moving to Spartanburg, SC, three years ago.
Robert graduated from Hazleton High School Class of 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy in Communications.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Lucille (ReJuney) Merenda, stepson Rodney Rejuney, sister Rose Mary (Merenda) Moore and husband Bob Moore, a brother Michael Merenda, several nieces and nephews, cousins, and a great-aunt, Marie Kowalski. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by brothers: Joseph, Ronald, and David and nieces, Melissa and Amy Merenda.
