Obituary
Rebecca “Becky” Parton Porter, 72, passed away on March 27, 2023. She was the wife of the late John Porter, and the daughter of the late Delbert and Catherine Parton.
Becky was an avid reader. She loved going to church, singing and her job. She was a hard working woman. Her favorite title was “Nana Baby”, given to her by her beloved grandson, James.
She is survived by daughters, Marquita Barnette (Jim) and Catherine Blackwell (Bobby); brothers, J.D. Parton (Sandra) and Enoch Parton (Cindy); grandchildren, Christian Blackwell and Brittany Mode (Treven); great grandchildren, Lexi, Jordan, Hunter, Triton and Addy; and a sister in law, Debbie.
Becky is predeceased by a brother, Doug Parton; a sister, Runette Cannon; a grandson, James Barnette; a great grandson, Talon; and her dog, Suzy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Tuesday April 4, 2023 at Clifton First Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. Rev. Brian Harris will be conducting the service. Burial will be at Springhill Memorial Gardens.
