Rebecca Brasington Bruton

Rebecca Brasington Bruton, 79, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Born September 20, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Sophia Shell Brasington and the wife of Charles Joe Bruton.

Rebecca and her husband Joe were happily married for 59 years. She was a faithful member of Summerville Baptist Church and most recently of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Moore, SC. And she was the proprietor of The Magnolia Inn Bed & Breakfast Catering in Summerville, SC.

In addition to her husband Rebecca is survived by two daughters, Cindy Mitchell and her husband Paul, and Charity Rollins and her husband Andy; grandchildren Joe Mitchell and his wife Jaimie, Laura Beth Mitchell, Andrew Rollins and his wife Victoria, Hope Rollins, Philip Rollins and Rocky Rollins. She was predeceased by two sisters Jo Felts and Etta Hobbs.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm – 7:00pm, Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Moore, SC. A memorial service will be held at Summerville Baptist Church, Saturday November 2, 2024 officiated by Rev. Peppy DuTart. Visitation will be from 2:00pm-3:00pm with a memorial service following at 3:00pm.
