Spartanburg, SC: Noma Lou Wood, 94, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Born May 25, 1927 in Gary, IN, she was the wife of the late George A. Wood, Jr., and the daughter of the late George and Rose Goldsmith Reichelderfer.
She was a member of Mifflin Avenue United Methodist Church in Pittsburgh, PA, and was very active in the United Methodist Women’s Conference. She was a nurse at the UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was also very active as a volunteer in underserved communities. She was very devoted to her family.
She is survived by three sons, James Wood and wife Terri, Bill Wood and wife Sue, Dave Wood and wife Tracie; a daughter Linda Kelly and husband Shaun; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Peggy Wood and her sister Marion McDaniel.
A memorial service will be 11:00am, Sunday August 29, 2021 at Bobo Funeral Chapel.
