Spartanburg, SC: Norma Ruth Bladen Tillotson, 94 passed away at her home Thursday, August 12, 2021. Born September 17, 1926 in Madison, Indiana, she was the wife of the late Charles Wesley Tillotson, and the daughter of the late Lawrence and Elsie Spivey Bladen.
She attended Davis Chapel Wesleyan Church. She was a faithful servant of God who for many years was a travelling song evangelist. She was a medical transcriptionist for many years for Dr. Stanley Neal, MD in Albany, OR. Besides serving the Lord, she had a passion for music and playing her piano and would spend hours working jigsaw puzzles. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by a son Steven Tillotson and wife Diane of Albany, OR; two daughters Esther Hendricks of Spartanburg, SC and Krista Bond of Salem, OR; a brother Charles Bladen; two sisters, Carol Ann Gates and Betty Bradbury; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by five brothers, Wilford Bladen, Donald Bladen, Paul Edward Bladen, Louis David Bladen and Wesley Bladen; three sisters, Waunita "June" Warren, Doris Gilley and Dorothy Bladen; a grandson Paul Tillotson.
A memorial service will be Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:30am at Davis Chapel Wesleyan Church, officiated by Rev. Ken Hales and Rev, Kenneth Rice.
