Nancy Maria Nicholson, age 71, passed away on May 21, 2026. Born on April 19, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York, Nancy was the beloved daughter of William and Rose Mastandrea and later made her home in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Nancy was a woman of extraordinary strength, devotion, and love. To those who knew her best, she was loving, devoted, impulsive, persistent, and one of the strongest women anyone could ever hope to meet. Her presence brought comfort, stability, and purpose to the people she loved most.
For 31 years of marriage, Nancy stood beside her husband, Jeffrey Scott Nicholson, through every chapter of life. During Jeffrey’s 20 years of military service, she faithfully supported him through countless moves and changes across the country, always providing unwavering love, encouragement, and strength. She was his rock, his constant source of support, and the person who gave him purpose and everlasting devotion. Her support was unparalleled, and her love never wavered.
Nancy’s life was defined not only by the love she gave, but by the resilience and determination with which she lived every day. She leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, courage, and deep love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by her loving husband, Jeffrey Scott Nicholson, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness, strength, and enduring spirit.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the American Legion Hall at Duncan Park: 94 W Park Dr. Spartanburg, SC from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Attire will be casual.
