Michael Everette Lynch, Sr.

Spartanburg, SC: Michael Everette Lynch, Sr., 64, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021. Born February 12, 1957, he was the son of the late Donald and Gail Lynch. He is survived by his wife, Gwen Lynch; a son; Michael Lynch Jr.; step-son, Michael R. Turner (Crystal); daughters, Nichole Turner (Tommy), Tabitha Hadden (Jerimiah), and Cheyenne Nicole Foster (Jonathan); brothers, Joey Lynch (Rhonda), and Jerry Lynch; sisters, Renee Cooksey (Wayne), and Gloria Lynch; and 13 grandchildren.

Michael Everette Lynch was a devoted husband, loving father and a selfless man. He always made sure you knew you could always ask him for help. Whenever Mike could, even the times when he couldn’t, he would find a way to take care of you. That is also a trait he passed down to his children. Mike enjoyed riding his Harley, spending time at the lake with family, friends and his dog Rocket. In the last decade he made sure his relationship with God was a priority. The two words you could always catch him saying were, “I’m blessed.” Mike fought with grace and strength until the very end. He spent every day with the ones he loved making sure they were taken care of before he had to leave this earthly plain. Once he was surrounded with his family who adored him, he was ready for God to call him home.

Visitation will be Friday, November 5, 2021 from 9:00 AM- 12:00PM at Davis Chapel Wesleyan Church. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, conducted by Rev. Ken Hale. Burial will be at Davis Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
