Maxine Lee, 87, of Spartanburg, SC passed away April 6, 2026. A lifelong resident, she retired from Spartanburg Regional Health System as an administrative assistant in 2011. Maxine practiced her faith at First Baptist Church of Spartanburg.
Maxine devoted her life to her daughters, Vicki, Cindy, Krista, grandsons Russel, Matthew, Brandon, Dillon, and great grandson Brandon Jr. She especially cherished supporting and volunteering at Dillon’s special needs programs, including the Sonshine Club, YMCA, A Night to Shine, Wofford’s Companions, and Carolina Miracle League.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy, her special friend of 20 years, Jack Tyner, and grandsons, Russell and Matthew.
A celebration of life will be held at Bobo Funeral Chapel, 1860 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, at 11:00 am Saturday, April 11.

Following the service, friends and family are warmly invited to gather for a luncheon in honor of a truly special woman. Her life was a beautiful reflection of love, faith, and compassion, and her legacy will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her. The luncheon will be held at White’s Mill, 175 Heywood Ave. Spartanburg, SC 29302.
