Mary Joe “Jodie” Yarborough

Mary Joe “Jodie” Yarborough, 78, passed away on May 27th, 2022 at Hospice of Rutherford county where she was surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 15th, 1944 to William and Jeanette Yarborough of South Carolina.

          Jodie was of the Baptist denomination and an avid church goer. Her children speak fondly about their memories of her singing gospel hymns. She also had a great joy for gardening and could always be found surrounded by her flowers.

She was the beloved mother of Joseph “Mark” Culbreth, Angela Scruggs, and Wendy Culbreth. She is survived by her many grandchildren, her daughters, and her sister Sue. Jodie was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her beautiful family.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 31st, 2022, starting at 10am at the Heritage Memorial Gardens.
