Pacolet Mills, SC: Mary Loree Hodges, 93, went home to be with her Lord Friday, August 28, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born March 8, 1927 in Pacolet Mills, she was the wife of the late George Hodges and the daughter of the late Dewey and Minnie Cook.

Loree was a member of Brown’s Chapel Baptist Church, and was the matriarch of five generations. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, and she will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Dianne Smith of Pacolet Mills, and Denise Whitmire and husband Billy of Centerville, GA; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; and a sister Geraldine Ellison.

The family will have a private memorial service.
