Laila Cartee Obituary

Laila Lotus Sarah Cartee, of Spartanburg, passed away on April 30, 2021. She was the daughter of Matthew Shan Coty Cartee and JoAnna Denise Duffey.

Baby Lai was a bright light in this world, which shined through her big, beautiful blue eyes. Pure, sweet innocence, and so full of life. The best baby sister, and so loving, she just had a way of making you smile, even if you didn't feel like it. Truly too good to be true. She was a blessing to everyone who knew her, and a gift from God.

In addition to her parents, Laila is survived by two brothers, Shadan and Jellal Cartee; two sisters, Hayleigh and Abigail Hernandez; an aunt, Sarah Duffey; an uncle, John Duffey; an aunt, Mary Allen; maternal grandparents, Ann Crawford and John Duffey; paternal grandmother, Shannon Cartee; paternal great grandparents, Norman and Carolyn Cartee.

A private Celebration of Life Service for Laila will be held at Bobo Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
