Kathryn Elizabeth Watson
Spartanburg, SC: Kathryn E. Watson, age 70, passed away at home on January 2, 2022. She was born December 26, 1951 in the state of Wisconsin to Jane K. Janke and the late Rev. Richard K. Janke. She is survived by her spouse Graeme M. Watson.
Although born in Wisconsin, she grew up in Plattsburgh, New York. She spent much of her free time with family, her church community, serving the Lord, or in crafting activities. She also lived abroad in Great Britain and in New Zealand with her surviving spouse. In the later years of her life, she moved to the Carolina area. With many siblings and family members also in the Carolinas, family gatherings were a real blessing in her life. Kathy had a very welcoming spirit and was loved by those who met her, she sought activities that created joy for all involved.
She is survived by her husband: Graeme M. Watson, her son Karl E. Riley (Geobie), daughters Auburn J. Trommetter (Jason) and Kendra R. Lamoretti (Darren), her mother Jane K. Janke, three sisters, a brother, granddaughter, 3 grandsons, and great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held for Kathy on Sunday, January 9, 2022, 10AM, at Eagles Wings Church, 1021 Glen Springs Road, Pacolet, South Carolina, 29372. Donations can be made to Eagles Wings Church, her most cherished charity, c/o Neil Walsh 311 Stoddard Dr. SC 29365. Flowers and condolences are received at 104 Lanette Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
