Judith "Dr. B" Sherrill Bazemore

Judith “Dr. B” Sherrill Bazemore, 89, of Spartanburg, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Born in Hickory Grove, SC, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Forrest William and Kathryn Slaughter Sherrill. She was the Principal at Mary H. Wright Elementary School until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of Skylyn Drive Presbyterian Church. Dr. B enjoyed music, singing, playing the piano, working crossword puzzles, and had a great interest in politics.

Left to cherish her memory are, one daughter, Kennedy (Mark) Norungolo; two grandchildren, Kathryn Norungolo (Davis), and Dillon Norungolo; one sister, Patrice (Gary) Wise; three brothers, F.W. (Debbie) Sherrill, James (Jacque) Sherrill, and Christopher (his previous wife Cree) Sherrill; many dear nieces and nephews; many grand nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Lynda Glover Leonard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, one daughter, Kathryn Bazemore; and two sisters, Jeanne Billings, and Mary McColm

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Skylyn Drive Presbyterian Church from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at Skylyn Drive Presbyterian Church at 3:00 PM. Rev. Peter Waid will be conducting the service. Burial will be Monday, April 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bethany ARP Church Cemetery.
