Josephine Elder Arledge

Josephine Elder Arledge, 87, of Spartanburg died peacefully at home on January 22, 2022 after a long  illness, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Chesnee, SC to Clifton O. and Pauline M. Elder  and was the wife of the late Thomas N. Arledge.

She was a member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg and a longtime employee of Pettit Construction Company.

She is survived by two daughters, Laura A. Balascio and husband Carey and Paula A. FitzGerald and husband Stan; and two granddaughters, Kimberley and Phoebe.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Comfort Keepers and caregivers; Kathy, Marilyn, Patty, Dawn and Olga and to the Agape Care Group and especially Nurse Kera.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 11:00am - 12:00pm at Bobo Funeral Chapel.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm at the funeral home chapel conducted by Chaplain Justin Nelson of Agape Care.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
