John Turpin

John Turpin, born “Johnnie Lynn” Turpin, passed away due to the COVID-19 virus on November 10, 2020 at the age of 80 at his residence in in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. He was born September 3, 1940 in Conway, Arkansas to Daniel and Lula Turpin. 

John was a proud Veteran who served his country 4 years and 6 months with the United States Army. 

John began his career as a Purchasing Agent with Tishman Reality Construction based in New York City, New York. He proudly took part in the building project for the World Trade Center, South Tower. John enjoyed golfing, supporting his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks, watching Dallas Cowboy football and a variety of other sports.

John is survived by his wife, Jeanne Jordan Turpin of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; his children, daughter, Lisa Stricklan of Rockwood, Tennessee, son, Michael Turpin also of Rockwood, Tennessee, and daughter, Rhonda Smith and husband, Matt of Loudon, Tennessee; as well as many stepchildren, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren 

Given the current COVID situation, a memorial service will not be held at this time.
