John Terrell Lipscomb, Sr.

John Terrell Lipscomb, Sr., 98, of Cowpens, SC, joined his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 25, 2022.  Born April 27, 1924, he was the husband of the late Violet Lipscomb and the son of the late John Ray and Amy Bridges Lipscomb. 

Terrell was a US Army veteran of WWII.  He worked for Draper Corp and Cowpens First Baptist Church for 42 years.  He was a long time member of Cowpens First Baptist Church and currently a member of Central Baptist Church.

Terrell is survived by his sons Teddy, John (Donna) and Todd (Laurie), 7 grandchildren and spouses and 20 great-grandchildren.  He was greeted in heaven by his brother and sister-in-law Conrad and Evelyn and nephew Tim and daughter-in-law RaeJean.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, at Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, Cowpens, SC, officiated by Rev. Jason Metcalf and Rev. Keith Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, 419 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC, 29302.  The family is at 127 Spring St., Cowpens, SC.
