John Palmer Bishop

John Palmer Bishop, 88, passed away May 13, 2023 at Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness Center of Spartanburg. A native of Glendale he was the son of the late Mary Ellen Holland and John Franklin Bishop and husband of the late Betty Jo Bishop, he was a meat market manager for Community Cash Grocery Stores and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one son, Johnny Bishop; three daughters, Tammy Crowe (Mike), Debra Horne and Pamela Bradley; eleven granchildren; fourteen great grandchildren with two more expected; one great, great-grandchild expected.

He was predeceased by a son, Curtis Bishop; a brother, Wiley Bishop; a sister, Roberta Bishop; and one grandchild.

The family will receive friends Wednesday May 17, 2023 at Bobo Funeral Chapel from 2:00 to 3:00 funeral services will follow at 3:00 conducted by the Rev. Michael Bradley. Burial will be private.
