Obituary
Jerry Eugene Cantrell, 69, went home to be with the Lord on May 30, 2023. He was the husband of Nancy Cantrell and the son of the late Willard and Winonia Cantrell.
Jerry worked as a finance manager as well as being employed with the Spartanburg Herald Journal for over 30 years. He was a dedicated Scout Master. Jerry enjoyed going fishing with his sons and family gatherings. The highlight of his life was becoming Papa to Jackson, Jacob, and Caroline. Jerry was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of 49 years, Jerry is survived by his sons, Jonathan Cantrell (Jennifer) and Jeremy Cantrell (Jennifer); grandchildren Jackson, Jacob and Caroline Cantrell; and his sister, Joyce Ridings (Jerry).
He was predeceased by a brother, Melvin Cantrell and his beloved Yorkie, Lizzie.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 5, 2023, at 2:00PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 3:00PM.
Burial will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
