James “Jim’ Dale Bensema
James “Jim” Bensema, 68, passed away with his wife by his side Monday December 9, 2024. He was the husband of Pamela Seaman Bensema, married June 25, 1977, and the son of the late Ralph and Jayne Capsel Bensema.
Jim was employed with Multi-Plex in Howe, Indiana for 34 years until the closing of the plant. He and his wife then moved to South Carolina in 2010 where he was employed with Spartanburg Steel until his retirement in 2022.
Jim loved bass fishing and woodworking, but his greatest enjoyment was being a grandfather and especially a great grandfather to Emily, Violet and Oliver.
In addition to his wife Pamela of 47 years, Jim is survived by two sons Jody Bensema and his wife Tobi, and Christopher Bensema; five sisters Nancy Kruszka and her husband Jake, Debra Bensema, Carol Johnson and her husband Jerry, Patricia Wiley and her husband Scott, and Janice Pelfrey and her husband Tim; a brother Mark Abel and his wife Judy; two granddaughters Haylee Oaks and Kayla Oaks; three great grandchildren Emily, Violet and Oliver; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws and his beloved dog Indy.
