James "Jay" David Bartlett

                                                            James “Jay” Bartlett
Born October 23,1955 to Thelma Eloise Jenkins, began his next new adventure on October 9,2025.

He is a proud veteran of the United States Navy, stationed on the USS John F Kennedy and serving on
the USS Dwight D Eisenhower.

He has a son Jayson Bartlett; a daughter Anna “Nikki” Bartlett (Max Holcombe); a brother Robert
“Bob” Bartlett (Patty); a sister Judith “Judy” King (Clifford); grandchildren Malachi Bartlett, Adalynne
Holcombe, Rebecca Holcombe that will be carrying on without his physical presence.
He is reunited with his sisters Regina Sue Bartlett and Diane Harrington.

Jay is a friend, mentor and inspiration. Always willing to give second chances and/or opportunities to
many. He never spoke of problems, they were always just another challenge to be handled. He has an
amazing smile that will be missed.

On October 18, 2025 Jay and family will receive friends 12:00pm –1:00pm with a memorial service to
follow from 1:00pm- 2:00pm at Bobo Funeral Chapel in Spartanburg.

On October 20, 2025 a memorial and internment service will be held at the VA Cemetery in Black
Mountain, NC.
