James Leigh Shaver

James Leigh Shaver, 73, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Born in Flint MI, he was the son of the late Emil John Shaver, Jr. and Mary Helen Adair Shaver and was the husband for 18 years of Amie Pridgeon Shaver. He was a member of United Methodist Church of the Covenant. Mr. Shaver was a Navy Veteran who loved his dogs: Cami, Kirbie, and Bonnie. Mr. Shaver also loved the Detroit Tigers, hot air ballooning, and woodworking.

Amie had 18 wonderful years with Jim and loved him dearly.  Left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife Amie are one son, Russ (Ben) Shaver; two daughters, Amanda and Rebecca; and two sisters, June (Dan) Cousineau, and Sue (Bill) Shurtliff. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday,  April 14, 2023, at the United Methodist Church of The Covenant.
