James Rice Obituary

James Buford Rice, 60, passed away on November 21, 2024. He was the son of the late Buford Rice and Edna Earl (Gideon) Rice.

He is survived by a son, James Walters; daughters, Rebecca Rice and Jamie Rice; brothers, Leonard Rice (Cathy) and Kenny Gideon (Maudie); and grandchildren, A’maya, Dakota, Juliana, Graesyn and Jayden.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Peace Free Will Baptist Church. The service will follow at Peace Free Will Baptist Church at

11:00 AM. Rev. Chuck Thornton will be conducting the service. Burial will be at Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens.
