Irene Gilliam Lyda

Irene Gilliam Lyda, 91, went home to be with the Lord Friday February 14, 2025. Born August 8, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt and Nellie Clark Gilliam, and she was the wife of the late James O. Lyda, Jr.

Mrs. Lyda was a homemaker faithfully and lovingly caring for her family. She was a member of New Life Worship Center formerly known as Ella Crocker Memorial Church.

She is survived by her sons Bob Lyda (Dori), Gene Lyda (Kim); her daughter Kathy Dickson (Ronnie); four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Troy Gilliam; and sisters Dorothy Fowler and Lottie Thrift.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday February 19, 2025, at Bobo Funeral Chapel officiated by Rev. Ralph Jett.
