Helen Frances (Simmons) Ridings

Helen Frances Simmons Ridings, 86, went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Ben and Ida Simmons (Robbins) and the wife of Woodrow “Buddy” David Ridings, Sr. for over 64 years.

She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and enjoyed reading her Bible. Helen had a gifted talent for being able to read music and play the piano. She had a love for her family that gave her great joy.

Helen is survived by her son, Woodrow David Ridings, Jr. (Kim); her daughters, Amy Ridings Blackwood (Boyce) and Terri Ridings Napoli (John); seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her brothers, Cecil L. Simmons, Erskine L. Simmons and Harold E. Simmons.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bobo Funeral Chapel with a funeral service immediately following at 2:00 PM. Pastor Michael Evens will be conducting the service. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
