George Nelson Coone, Jr.

Duncan, SC:  George Nelson Coone, Jr., 72, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021. Born February 28, 1949 in Guilford, NC, he was the husband of Brenda Roberson Coone, and the son of the late George Nelson Sr. and Mary Bell Hunter Coone.

George was a Vietnam War veteran serving as a Sargent in the US Marine Corp.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Andrea Sprague and husband Brandon; a brother Joe Coone, Sr. and wife Dottie; a nephew Joe Coone, Jr.; and a lifelong friend Reggie Reynolds. He was predeceased by a brother Andy Coone.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021, at the M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
