Faith Allen Reid
September 19, 1963 – July 29, 2025
Faith Allen Reid, 61, of Moore, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025 after a brief illness.
Born in Greenville, SC, on September 19, 1963, Faith called Travelers Rest her childhood home. In her adult life, she also called North Carolina and Pennsylvania home at various times, before settling in Georgia. During her time in Georgia, she worked for over 20 years at Varec Inc. (a Leidos Company). In recent years, she embraced a quieter life in Moore, SC with her husband—raising chickens, caring for her dogs, and spending treasured time with her grandchildren.
Faith is survived by her husband, Wallace Reid Jr. of Moore, SC; her daughter, Jessica Kay of Stockbridge, GA; her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren, Nikki, Kyle, Carolina and Landon Mayes of Suwanee, GA. She is also survived by her siblings, Susan G. Allen, Esther M. Tuttle, M. Homer Allen, M. Jean Martinez, along with a large extended family who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bradley Alexander Reid, her parents, Mildred and Homer Allen, and two brothers, John E. Allen and Stephen L. Allen.
Faith will be remembered for the way she loved—with a fierce and unwavering devotion. She protected her family with all her heart and gave everything she had to those she held dear. To know her was to know unconditional love, strength, and a mother’s heart like no other.
A small memorial service will be held at a later date at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA, where she will be interred near her son.
Faith was the proud mother and wife of veterans. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Faith by donating to organizations that aim to improve the lives of those who have bravely served our country, such as The Headstrong Project or Wounded Warrior Project. Alternatively, you can honor her memory by offering kindness to others, caring for animals in need, or simply pausing to enjoy a beautiful song.
