Ellis Junior Foster

Ellis Junior Foster was born on May 9th on Mother’s Day Sunday in 1954 to the late Palmer and Mable Foster.  Ellis passed on Christmas day of 2019 at home. His late wife Lila “Teresa” Foster passed a few weeks earlier on December 1, 2019.  

He was a very active member of Bible Truth Baptist Church. Ellis was happiest when he could be outside.  He enjoyed sitting on the porch watching cars and people go by.  He never met a stranger.  His favorite song was also his mother’s favorite song, “I’ll Fly Away”.  His last job was with the City of Spartanburg as a Sanitation Assistant.

He is survived by sons, Richard Foster of Boiling Springs and Ray Foster of Cowpens;  a brother Austin Foster of Spartanburg; and sisters, Sue Riddle of Spartanburg and Dorothy Foster of Goose Creek.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Bible Truth Baptist Church, 222 Floyd Rd., Spartanburg, SC.
