Donna B. Miles

Donna B. Miles, 66, passed away on October 21, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Doris Bates.

Donna’s creativity knew no bounds. She wrote poetry and short stories that reflected her thoughtful nature and her love of life’s small details. A talented seamstress, she poured her heart into every project- crafting Halloween costumes, sewing clothes and making anything her children imagined come to life. She had a special gift for restoring and reimagining things, bringing beauty and purpose back to whatever she touched.

Donna is survived by her son, Adam Miles (Kim); her daughter, Ambre Finlayson (Barry); her brother, Scott Bates; her sisters, Cheryl Winston (Robert) and Julie Schueler (Brian); and her grandchildren, Logan, Seth, Noah, Sigrid and Greyson.

She is predeceased by her son, Patrick Miles; her brothers, Terry Bates and Chris Bates; and her granddaughters, Kendal and Katelynn.

Donna lived a life filled with love, creativity and kindness. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her deep devotion to her family and her ability to make the ordinary extraordinary.
