"David" Christopher David Collins II

“David” Christopher David Collins II, 37, passed away on January 15, 2023. He was the husband of Melodie Sumner, and the son of Marybeth Tighe Collins and the late Christopher David Collins.

David was a graduate from Boiling Springs High School, class of 2003. In his younger years, he was very active in his high school drama department as well as a member of the Civil Air Patrol. In 2004, David felt called to join the US Army. He joined the 82nd Airborne Division through Ft. Bragg, NC where he worked his way through the ranks of being military police, two tours served in Iraq and ultimately ending with CID as a Special Agent. David was always an avid lover of motocross in his years growing up as well as being a true Ghostbuster since a very young age. He was known to be a big personality in a shmedium body. David’s infectious smile was a trademark of his. He served this country proudly for 16 years but also was a beautiful son, big brother, husband, doggie dad to his beloved Meeka and a true friend to all he knew and loved.

David is survived by a brother, Matthew Tighe Collins (Amber); a sister, Erin Collins McCall (Devan); and his Granddad, James “Buck” Collins (Aileen).

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Bobo Funeral Chapel from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
