Daniel Wesley Butler

Daniel Wesley Butler, 69, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Rev. Samuel Wesley Butler and Elizabeth Blanch Frye Butler. He was a loving father, grandfather, and a great friend to the ones that knew him. He was a welder by trade, and also an avid outdoorsman that loved to fish and hunt. He also loved to drag race at the Spartanburg Drag Strip.

Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Michelle (Richard) Bishop, and Lacey Harrington; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Chad Cartee, and one brother Billy Butler.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 20, 2023, from 3:00pm – 4:00pm at Bobo Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 4:00pm in the chapel with Chaplain Darnell Durrah officiating.

The family will be at the home of Daniel's daughter Michelle.
