Cecil Melton Wright

Cecil Wright, born December 29, 1947, son of the late Henry and Bunice Wright, passed peacefully June 10, 2024 at SRHS after a brief illness. Cecil was a retired building maintenance employee for the Spartanburg Housing authority and an active member of Croft Baptist church. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy, children Merrie (Lee) Hyder, Chris (Robin) Wright, stepchildren, Melissa (Danny) Patterson, Chad Millwood, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Gail Lowe, Charles Wright and Deborah Garland. The family wishes to thank the incredible staff in the Critical Care and Inpatient Oncology Units at Spartanburg Regional Hospital for the extraordinary care he received. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, June 12th at Croft Baptist church. Visitation with the family will be held before the service from 1:00-1:45.
