Carl Lee

Carl Lee, 87, passed away peacefully at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home on September 18, 2024.  He was the son of John Boyd and Lillie Mae Lee.

Carl is survived by his former wife, Maxine Lee; sister, Shelby Wood; daughters, Vicki Arnold and Krista Lee; grandsons, Brandon and Dillon Smith; and great grandson, Brandon K. Smith. He was predeceased by a brother, Miles Lee; a daughter, Cindy Smith; and grandsons, Russell Baldwin and Matthew Arnold.

Carl graduated from Spartan High School in 1955. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1955 and served on the USS Hornet aircraft carrier and later in the US Naval Reserve.  He graduated from Cecil's Business College in 1961. He spent his career working as a salesman for Union Camp and Mead Containers.

Carl was a member of the Lone Oak Masonic Lodge No. 372 and the Hejaz Shriners. He loved the lake, hunting, NASCAR and football. His favorite team was Clemson Tigers.

Carl was the "life of the party" and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

There are no memorials or services planned. Donations may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 29303.
